Acerca de Sistemas ARTC™

The story of the Sistemas ARTC™ method does not begin in a boardroom. It’s a story 40 years in the making. I started in the vibrant, hardworking heart of the Rio Grande Valley. Born and raised in the 956, I grew up watching the relentless rhythm of a small family business. My mother, a retired beauty salon owner, raised my brother, my sister, and me as a single parent. In her shop, I saw the “Self-Employment Trap” long before I had a name for it: the long hours, the reliance on a single person’s talent, and the thin line between a thriving day and a financial crisis.

After graduating from McAllen Memorial High School and attending the University of Texas Pan-American, I felt a driving need to escape the Valley to find my own version of triumph. That hunger led me to San Francisco. I went looking for the Culinary Institute with two hundred dollars. For the first nine months, I was homeless. I worked menial jobs in video rental stores, retail, and waiting tables just to survive. Yet, the RGV grit stayed with me.

Because I was fluent in English, Spanish, and French, I eventually secured a role as a world tour guide. For a decade, the world was my office as I traveled across continents and while my tourists were off on their excursions, I spent any free time I had learning how different cultures organized their lives and their commerce.

Everything changed on September 11. When the tourism industry collapsed overnight, I was forced to do what every entrepreneur eventually must: create my own opportunity. I struck a deal with the owner of a disorganized flooring and carpet store to overhaul their installation department. I managed the scheduling and dispatching of crews and the skill that landed me the job was my Spanish speaking abilities.

It was here that I discovered my passion for Business Architecture. The art of turning chaos into a repeatable system that allowed me to do what I was getting paid to do for 50 hours a week in only two hours a day. With that much spare time, I went on to build two small businesses from the ground up, scaling them through rigorous structure and eventually selling them for a significant profit.

I married and found success, but when the COVID-19 “shelter at home” mandate hit, my perspective shifted. I decided to move my family back to my hometown in the Valley to retire. But a year into retirement, the silence was too loud. I was bored, and my mind was still wired for the “Master Architect” role. I began consulting for local businesses, but then, life threw a final, terrifying curveball. I became gravely ill, ending up in the hospital for a year-long recovery.

Lying in that hospital bed, a single fear consumed me: Was my house in order? I worried whether I had done enough to ensure my family would never want for anything if I didn’t make it out. Fortunately, I had built my own legacy on a solid foundation. But as I looked around the RGV, I realized that thousands of family business owners are not prepared. They are one illness, one accident, or one disorganized tax season away from losing everything they had spent a lifetime building.

I made it my mission to ensure that no family business in the Rio Grande Valley would have to fear the future. I created Sistemas ARTC™ to put my entire life’s experience, global perspective, and structural knowledge within reach of every Latino entrepreneur. My goal is no longer just to build businesses, but to build legacies that last for generations. I am back home, and I am here to help you turn your hard work into an institution that stands the test of time.
